Had enough of your grassery
I had an excellent day today. I took Claire to Whitsands Bay and we had such a good time, without boring you with details. And 24 hour 23, argh, must have it! Current Mood: tiredCurrent Music: REM - At my most beautiful | | Saturday, May 15th, 2004 | | 11:17 pm |
Absoluuuuttiiiooon
For today at least, life is good. Revision is going okay(ish), the house is harmonious, the weather is fantastic, I met up with this beautiful girl Claire that I met on Monday again last night, danced the night away in the union last night as well, I've just watched Predator, got C.S.I series 3 waiting for me now...can't complain! It was supposed to be so easy
After much deliberating, I'm attempting to arrange my life so I can stay in Plymouth this summer. This requires securing money and a job - and so far this is looking extremely promising. Gary, Nick, Duncan, Antony, and Clare are all staying in our house too, with Kiera staying throughout the whole of June. Hopefully a wicked summer could be instore. Been doing nowhere near enough revision but luckily there is still time. I went out with a girl called Claire (friend of Gary's Gill) last night which was good but Gary let this fact slip to my Mum when she rang the house during my absence, so I had to deal with her inquistion this evening. Poor old Ros is finally returning to Plymouth after a two week absence tomorrow, after the death of her nan, so that's good too. Also we have a goldfish called Steve in our house now. So that's all my news. Not too exciting really. However I have watched 24 day three 10am-11am and (do not read on if you don't want it spoiled) was very satisfied. How the fook they are going to contain up to eleven outbreaks around America in two hours I have no idea. But at least that pretty Jane Saunders didn't come to any harm. And Tony, I really wouldn't mention Teri to Jack again if I were you Current Mood: impressedCurrent Music: The Streets - Get out of my house | | Sunday, May 9th, 2004 | | 8:59 pm |
When the world ends
Had a hugely boring weekend. Literally nothing but revision. My next exam is tomorrow and I have a decent break afterwards, so it should pick up after that. For now, I'm bored, tired, and pissed off! Poxy exams! Current Mood: angryCurrent Music: Beck - Lost cause | | Saturday, May 8th, 2004 | | 1:19 pm |
I AMS A ROBOT
Had a very boring week, pretty much nothing but revision. However nearly our entire house went to our union last night which very good fun. Had far too much to drink mind, but for once I didn't embarass myself even in the slightest. Clare and I spent ages wondering what's happened to Jack's heroin addiction in 24. Looked dead didn't I?
Exams finally started for the residents of Dolphin House today. Poor Nick has four hours straight today from 12.30, in the same room, before a two hour diving exam at 6.30pm! And he doesn't finish until June! Good luck to everyone taking exams. Current Mood: boredCurrent Music: Ozzy Osbourne - Bark at the moon | | Sunday, May 2nd, 2004 | | 2:53 pm |
This is Bauer
So quite a while since my last update innit...I'll list the things I've done in no particular order in an effort to try and get back on track from today; 1. Saw Kill Bill Volume 2. Enjoyed it a lot, not as much as the first mind. As always, EVERYONE I know here agrees with me. I'm talking to you Tom! 2. Went out drinking with Ros the first four days I was back when we were meant to be revising. Got heinously drunk with her in The Roundabout pub on Tuesday. 3. Went out for Henry's 21st birthday - was largely uneventful but nevertheless very enjoyable. Good meal at The Old Mexican restaurant in Taunton too. 4. Went to the Quay Club with my housemates, danced, got lost on the way home. Got very excited when Dizee Rascal came on. 5. Saw Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind - outstanding! 6. Watched four new episodes of 24 - only four left to go of day three now. The virus is out (Tony said that AGAIN in the latest ep). Also moved on to C.S.I series two, very good. 7. Went out with Ros' housemate Susan last night, didn't get home til 7.30 this morning, hooray! 8. Bought Kill Bill Volume 1 on DVD. Enjoyed it again. 9. Took drunken phonecalls from Henry at his barbeque - allegedly without the barbeque. 10. Revised....a bit. 11. Finished work on a sour note - nothing but muppets in so I just went home pissed off and returned to Plymouth within twelve hours. 12. Went to the beach, skimboarded (not very well), got sunburnt. I think that just about covers it...today I've been revising in spite of my severe lack of sleep last night. Was woken up by Nick overly pleased at having cooked porridge for us. I wasn't interested. But the sun is shining now so off I go, out to revise some more. Current Mood: awakeCurrent Music: Malcolm Mclaren - About her | | Saturday, April 17th, 2004 | | 7:06 pm |
Tea
Whilst moving bags full of rubbish at work today, one split and soaked the uniform box with tea. I was not popular! Current Mood: indifferentCurrent Music: The Zutons - You will you won't | | Thursday, April 15th, 2004 | | 9:23 pm |
- this is my normal voice -
All my friends from work and I went out and had a highly enjoyable evening on Monday. It was pretty uneventful but enjoyable, as is usually the case. I became quite enraged however by the lack of sleep by Steve snoring so loudly. I have to point out we weren't sharing a bed, just a room. Then yesterday it was Tom's 21st birthday and my mum's birthday, so I spent the day going between the two. For Tom's we went to Woolacoome (spelling?) via the most retarded route around virtually the entire southwest coastline and almost vertical hills, which was enjoyable once we finally got there. We dug the obligatory hole, showed off my general ineptness at cricket, before sitting in a traffic jam for ages on the way home. At one point I foolishly let James steer for a bit, narrowly missing a cyclist. In the evening we decided to go and see Blu Cantrell who, to be fair, sucked ass but it was still good fun. Henry and I had to escape the attentions of some creepy girl who was out with her creepy brother, saying that tall guys were her type or something (I did my best to blank her out). It was also entertaining watching Ash show off his physio skills to my friend Charlotte's sister Chantelle. Just read that Elisha Cuthbert is in serious trouble for spoiling the ending to 24 day 3 on some chat show. Oops! ...and wait for this to all blow over
Went to see Shaun Of The Dead on Friday and found it thoroughly enjoyable. I'd recommend it to all my friends. However, big fans of Spaced will notice several jokes ripped off from the series (although these days this is called 'paying homage to'). Also saw Spirited Away again (very good also), and got far too excited by the prospect of the Kill Bill sequel. Also got very angry by being reminded of the existence of The Matrix Revolutions by seeing every shop imaginable stacking the dvds up to the ceiling. As you can tell, despite having only been a week, having no money and working constantly is beginning to take it's toll. You are no longer in charge of your country
Well after the fiasco that was purchasing Glastonbury 2004 tickets (successfully I might add), life returned to some sort of normality. My friend Pippa from home came to visit me in Plymouth which was good, so we tagged along with all my friends for something of a drinking and dancing session in our union. It was good fun if largely uneventful; I had to walk home Ros' housemate Susan who had become worried after Ros disappeared following copping off with some bloke. Turns out she had looked for us, couldn't find us, and went home where she fell unconscious. Then came the unfortunately obligatory return to Taunton, which is fast becoming a byname for 'the land of mindless shelf-stacking'. Seeing people has been good, working in Sainsburys fruit and veg section not so. It could be a lot worse, but it's just the fact that it's WORKING. With locals who only talk about fighting and modifying their cars to boot. Inbetween I've had fleeting encounters with the likes of Tom, Dan, Henry, and Pippa (again), not to mention several of my restaurant friends. The most noteworthy of these being; me and Pippa were in a pub in town where we ran into my friends Oli and Pippa from work, which was a bit spooky; and today, when I managed to lose as per usual at Trivial Pursuit to Dan and Tom. I am extremely miffed at how my piddly internet connection in Taunton cannot download 24. Now I have to wait three weeks. 4am - 5am
This is seriously beginning to do my head in now. Luke has gone to bed ticket purchased, now Tom has been and gone having done the same thing, and here I still am! Two more things; when I typed '12am' earlier it wasn't actually 12am was it? And wasn't Den nasty to Dennis earlier? | | 3:09 am |
3am - 4am
Luke got a ticket about twenty minutes ago. I'm not having such a good time - I can't even get the order form up now! I'm going to keep trying. | | 2:01 am |
2am - 3am
Hour six? Five? I'm going insane! Still no sign of a ticket! | | 1:04 am |
1am - 2am
Into hour five. No luck still. Neil and Luke are on-line suffering with me, and I get the occasional supportive comment from Ros. | | 12:43 am |
12am - 1am
I'm in hour four of trying to get a Glastonbury 2004 ticket. I'm so tired I can hardly keep my eyes open. Must. Get. Ticket. | | Sunday, March 28th, 2004 | | 11:54 pm |
Kyle Singer's the key!
If I see the new 24 trailer on Sky One once more, I'll create a deadly virus of my own and release it in the Sky headquarters. Jack Bauer in hazard suit; 'The virus is out! The virus is out!' No it's not Jack, and you know it too you rascal! |
